We offer limited edition giclee prints on heavyweight 100% cotton rag paper. This fine art paper is acid-free and has a textured matte finish much like watercolor paper. All prints are inspected, approved, signed, titled and numbered by the artist, Julie Juratic, ensuring the highest level of artistic control and authenticity. The size listed for the print indicates the paper size, while the actual image size varies in proportion. All prints have at least a quarter inch white border. Prints are shipped in an archival quality storage sleeve. Limited edition prints are not mass produced.
Giclee prints are produced by inkjet technology whereby microscopic droplets of ink are placed with precision onto a substrate such as fine art paper or canvas. According to the International Association of Fine Art Digital Printmakers, the term giclee originated in 1991 to distinguish fine art prints created with a digital output from those created for non-art commercial purposes.
Giclee prints have become an accepted archival printmaking procedure. These types of prints have been exhibited at many prominent museums including the Smithsonian, Moma, Guggenheim, Los Angeles Museum of Modern Art and the New York Museum of Modern Art. When handled, framed and displayed properly, these archival prints will last for many years (80 + according to Wilhelm Imaging Research)
Limited edition prints are those which have a set limit to the number of prints that will be made. Once an edition has been printed to completion, there will be no other fine art prints made of the image. Each limited edition print is individually signed, titled and numbered in pencil. Please note that prices may increase as an edition sells out.
Each limited edition fine art print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. The artist's signature on this document attests that she personally inspected, numbered, signed and approved each print as an authentic print. It will arrive along with your print encased in an archival sleeve. It is your proof of an original print.
Instructions for care and handling are included with all prints.
Before framing please following these guidelines:
Most importantly, after initial careful inspection of print for damage, please return it to the included archival envelope, this will keep your print free of dust, dirt and fingerprints. Keep the print out of direct sunlight. We highly recommend using professional fine art framers to ensure archival quality.
